The Department of Defense has identified 3,813 American service members who have died since the start of the Iraq war. It confirmed the deaths of the following Americans yesterday:

CLAMENS, Lillian, 35, Staff Sgt., Army; Lawton, Okla.; First Postal Platoon, 834th Adjutant General Company.

DUCKWORTH, Eric T., 26, Staff Sgt., Army; Plano, Tex.; 89th Military Police Brigade.

LANTIERI, Jason M., 25, Sgt., Army; Killingworth, Conn.; 25th Infantry Division

PEARSON, Samuel F., 28, Specialist, Army; Westerville, Ohio; 376th Finance Company, 88th Regional Readiness Command.
